Today, you’ll be picked up from your pre-safari lodge in Arusha and set off on an exciting journey to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem in northern Tanzania. Known for its iconic baobab trees and sweeping savannahs, Tarangire offers a rich variety of landscapes—from grassy plains to dense woodlands and riverine valleys. Keep your eyes peeled for large herds of elephants, graceful giraffes, hippos wallowing near the river, and a vibrant array of birdlife. The park is also one of the few places in Tanzania where you might spot lions lounging in trees. After a day filled with wildlife and scenic views, continue on to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay..

Today, you'll journey into the Ngorongoro Crater for your safari expedition on the floor of the crater, framed by an impressive 600-meter (2000-foot) crater wall. This area is renowned for its abundant wildlife, making it an excellent spot for observing animals throughout the year. Predators are often seen in the morning, and you might have the chance to see the elusive black rhinoceros along with other members of the Big Five. Later in the late afternoon, you'll drive toarusha town or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
